    Hello Vaishali,

I am currently studying my AS Levels at sixth form and I am looking to become a sports journalist/broadcaster, having read your blogs I am extremely impressed with your work, your analysis is very accurate and on this basis I would like to ask you for some advice. As mentioned above, I am looking to follow in a similar carear to yours, however I don’t understand how to get work experience in places like BBC, if you could give me some advice I will be greatly pleased.

    Thank You

    • I have now re-sent the email to you – not sure why it didn’t send in the first place, but hope the advice helps.

Yes the match was definitely a thrilling one – Higuain has been one of my favourite players for some time now and I could see a few seasons back that he would become a great player – he just keeps getting better and better! Got a new blog coming up on the match later on today so watch out for that!

  5. Hello Viashali,

Hope you had a good christmas. I am writing to you asking if you know any developments or truth in the story that Real want to sign Man United’s Vidic and Chelsea’s Ivanovic.

    Happy New Year

  6. Hey Muddassir

Thanks for the New Year wishes – happy New Year to you too, hope you have a good one.

Well certainly reports here in England and in Spain seem to suggest that Real want to buy Vidic in the summer transfer window with Manchester United looking to perhaps buy Bruno Alves from Porto as a replacement. The Times and The Sun both did stories on it yesterday and Marca, the Spanish sports newspaper, did a front page story on it in yesterday’s edition.

There have been rumours circulating for some time that Vidic wants to leave England although he has denied this but I think if Ferguson can get a replacement for the player, we may see him leave in the summer as Real will want to boost their defensive options. In terms of Ivanovic, I am not so sure Chelsea would want to part with any of their players this season especially with their title hopes, especially in the January transfer window.

I hope that goes someway to answering your question! I am sure many of these stories will be surfacing soon now that the transfer window is open so I will keep an eye on it and let you know of any more developments.

  10. Hi Vaishali

I tried to find an email address for you but had no luck so thought i’d send you a message on here. You’ve written quite a few articles for us on Four Four Two which have been fantastic. It would be great if you could drop me a line on jonny.silver@absoluteradio.co.uk to explore further ways of working together over the course of the season
